In spanish we said "Despeje" or "Despejar el Balón" it is considered to be a technical defensive action especially, since normally they make her the defenders to avoid danger, to save goals of the opposite team or not to be complicated.

The freeing or Clearance can realize with all the surfaces of the body that it allows the regulation, fundamentally the feet and the head.

The player who realizes the freeing must have a great vision of game to try to orientate it towards a companion or to the free space and thus not to lose the possession of the ball. To realize it with efficiency is necessary a good technical quality, a good sense of the defensive game and a good sense of the anticipation.

It is necessary to show forcefulness in the freeing since it offers safety to our equipment and unfuses a mixture of dread and respect in the adversary.
